Chalgrove Community Primary School

Working Together for Excellence

Who's Who

Who's Who

We have a new committee and we would like to introduce our new members and their roles within Friends of Chalgrove

Paul Joslyn: Chair

Hi, I'm Paul Joslyn chair of Friends of Chalgrove and father of Ben in year 4. I've lived in the village for 13 years, but was born and bred in Goring, so I haven’t strayed far. I have worked for Xerox for 29 years and currently mostly from home, which I am hoping will allow me to help at some of the day time events.  I wasn't planning on taking the chairmanship, I just wanted to get a bit more involved in the local community, but as no one else wanted the job, I'm happy to step up. Along with my fellow committee members, you can rest assured that we’ll do our best to continue the excellent work our predecessors have done and raise lots of money for all our children.

Kelly Fraser: Vice Chair

Hello, I'm Kelly Fraser and I'm Vice Chair of the committee. I have two daughters that attend Chalgrove Primary, Fearne in year 4 and Jessamyn in Year 1. I've lived in Chalgrove since the age of 3 and I went to Chalgrove school myself! I'm looking forward to being involved with Friends of Chalgrove to help raise as much money as possible.

Kirsty Read: Secretary

Hello, I'm Kirsty Read and I'm the new secretary of the committee. I'm mum to Alex who is in Year 4 at Chalgrove Primary this year.  I work full time (in HR) and while originally a Midlander, I've lived in Yorkshire and London, moving to Chalgrove about 12 years ago. I'm really looking forward to being involved with the FOC and raising lots of money for the school!

Treasurer - Claire Mant

Hello, I'm Claire Mant and I am the new treasurer. I am mum to William in year 1 and I have a 3 year old  (April) who can't wait to go to school! I work part time in the cosmetic industry developing and regulating the different products. We moved to Chalgrove in August 2015 and due to the lovely welcome received I wanted to give something back to the school and village so I have joined Friends of Chalgrove.

Ju Lawrence: IT Communications

Hi I'm Julia Lawrence, mum to Harry in year 4 and George in year 1. I am also the school gardener and a Phoenix Trader, which I often use to raise money for the school at  events. I'll be looking after the Facebook Friends of Chalgrove group and web based fundraising. I too went to Chalgrove primary school myself! I'm positive, that with your help, we can raise lots of money for the school.

Yvonne Brammer: 2nd vice chair

My name is Yvonne I have two children in the school one in year 4 and the other in year 2.

I was chair of the Pavilion for 3 years, prior to having children I worked in another pre-school for 10 years (5 of those years as supervisor). I currently run the music group in the village on Tuesday mornings which I enjoy. As both of my children are now in full time education I thought it was the right time to join Friends of Chalgrove.

Lucy Irvine: 2nd Secretary

I am Lucy Irvine  and I'm looking forward to being part of the FOC and helping raise money for the school. My son, George, is in year 4 and Frank, who is 2. I am a working mum – working for the NHS and Macmillan Cancer Support.
