Please see below letter relating to our parent governor vacancy.

Become a Governor
Parents/carers of all children at Chalgrove Community Primary School are eligible to become Parent Governors and to vote in elections. When a Parent Governor vacancy occurs, nominations will be invited from all parents/carers and, if the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies, a secret ballot will be held. Although all candidates must have a child on the School roll at the time of election, Parent Governors may choose to serve out their four year term of office even if they no longer have a child at the School. Parent Governors may stand for re-election after four years as long as they still have a child who attends the School.
If you might be interested in becoming a Parent Governor in the future there is an excellent booklet available from the Department for Education and Skills or direct from the School. By becoming a Parent Governor you will have a major role in shaping the future of your child's School - all you need is enthusiasm, some spare time and the wish to maintain the excellence of your child's School.
Vacancies for Governor positions will be advised through the School Newsletter as they arise, however to find out more or express your interest in becoming involved, please contact the School Office.
