Hello Reception,
Did you guess correctly from Mrs Thompson's clues? Did you work out the names of the animals? Today I am reading 'The Great Race' a story from China that tells you how the order of the animals were chosen to name each year. But 1 animal is missing, can you find out which one and why?
This week we will be learning about the Chinese New Year, writing letters and measuring weights. We hope that you have lots of fun as you learn and enjoy having your own dragon dance at home!đ˛đ
At the end of the week please look out for a special letter heading to your home.

Hello Reception,
I hope as you are reading this that you have enjoyed some snow this weekend? (I still have my fingers crossed!) If not, this week is filled with snow and ice activities that you can make at home instead.âď¸
Mrs Thompson reads her favourite story - 'Sneezy the Snowman' to get us started. If you are able to build a snowman please send in your photos.âď¸
It is always a pleasure to see so many pictures emailed in of your hard work at home (especially when your smiling face is included). All of your work is printed off and goes into your profiles at school
This week I will be phoning parents/carers of those of you learning from home to see how you are getting on. If you see an unrecognised number it is likely to be me so please answer it. I will try to call on Wednesday or Friday between the hours of 9 to 5.
Take care and keep having fun,
Mrs Soper, Mrs Macrae & Mrs Thompson

Hi Reception,
We are missing you all very much and hope that you are beginning to get used to a new way of working from home.
It was so lovely to see you in our Live Lessons last week. They will happen every week on a Tuesday and Thursday at 9am and I will look forward to seeing you all again this week.
Please look at the daily lesson plans, I will add extra worksheets and video clips or links that you might want to use at home. The topic activities will be varied over the week so that you can pick the ones that suit your family.
We are now working with Year 1 in the classroom so we will be sharing resources and learning alongside each other.
The Dojo points have been reset to 0. I have adding last weeks points on and I will be giving out points for taking part in Live lessons and for work that you complete at home. You will need to share it with me via email.
Take care,
